Jelly Bean upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S III by October

At the IFA 2012 event, it was expected that Samsung would announce the date of the release of the Jelly Bean update for its current handsets, which included the Galaxy S III. However, at the event, Samsung was a bit vague regarding the release date and merely stated that the upgrade would coming soon. In what may come as interesting news for those eagerly wanting to update their handsets to the latest version of Android, a report by CNET states that Jelly Bean would be served to the Galaxy S III by October. As per the report, the author, Andrew Hoyle stated, “Samsung has confirmed its flagship phone the Galaxy S3 will receive the update to the latest version of Android, known as Jelly Bean, as soon as October. Samsung doesn't have the best track record when it comes to updating its Android phones, with last year's Galaxy S2 update delays causing something of a riot among its customers. Thankfully it's not mincing its words this time round, explaining to me that "the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system will be available on the Galaxy S3 from October." Getting Jelly Bean by October Though there is no specific date provided, the month for the update to Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S II appears has been finalised.  At the IFA 2012 event, one of the main topics of discussion was the unveiling of the Galaxy Note II.
