Google+ users can now post updates, share photos or explore what is interesting on the Google+ mobile website by logging on to plus.google.com from their mobile browsers. In an official blog post, Google Product Manager, Jagjit Chawla elaborates on the team's efforts at making sharing on Google+ is possible for BlackBerry, Nokia, Windows phone, or any other Internet-enabled phone. "Mobile sharing should be easy, and being away from your computer shouldn’t stop you from sharing the exciting moments in life," he adds.
Sharing in real-time
The post adds that users can upload photos to Google+ straight from their mobile phones, thereby sharing in real time. “With Google+, you don’t need to rely on wires or cords to share your photos -- you can quickly share life as it happens with friends and family,” Chawla adds further.
Going further, the post adds that for users who do not have an Internet-enabled phone (mobile data plan or Wi-Fi), the social networking platform has an SMS system to allow them to stay updated. To get going on that front, users will be required to enable SMS notifications the next time they are online on the service. Here, users would have to verify their phone number from the settings page (gear icon ) on the Google+ mobile website, and choose their notifications.
Among other things, Chawla elaborates that the mobile website has been given a visual refresh - top to bottom, which he claims simplifies the experience by making the features a user prefers prominent. There is a common action bar that is now there on all pages, using which users can post updates or toggle between Circles, so that they can only see content from those whom they care about. If users like any content on Google+, they can +1 it or reshare it directly from the stream. "The end result is a mobile website that lets you share the moments that matter, from any device, anywhere," the post elaborates.

Google introduced the Live traffic layer on its Google Maps service in India yesterday. Check Google Maps on your Android mobile or your desktop and you will notice a new layer called Traffic. Enable that and have your location specified, and you will be able to see what the road traffic is like in that city.
Yesterday, Google also introduced voice-based, turn-by-turn navigation (driving directions) to Indian users by way of Google Maps Navigation (Beta).Google Maps Navigation takes advantage of long-standing features of Google Maps for mobile. These features include powerful Google search and voice search capabilities, which allow users to find local destinations by typing or speaking an address or business name. Voice search on Google Maps Navigation, at the moment is only available in English. Google’s search tools go a distance in assisting the user. For instance, ambiguous queries and words that are misspelled are corrected and clarified without requiring the user to enter an exact address, and the optimal route from origin to destination is quickly calculated.
