The leaks of the next generation HTC smartphones are coming consistently. Over the past few weeks, there have been rumours of an upcoming HTC handset codenamed Accord, which then came to be known as the HTC X8. This handset has not been launched yet, but an HTC event scheduled for September 19, we may see quite a few smartphones from the Taiwanese handset manufacturer. While the HTC One X8 is expected to run on the latest mobile operating platform from Microsoft, which is Windows Phone 8, it appears that the brand is preparing another handset, which will run on Google’s latest smartphone operating system, Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean). This Android handset will be a successor to the brand’s current flagship smartphone, the HTC One X, and it will be called the HTC One X+.
@Football4PDA, a Twitter user, has been providing leaks about upcoming HTC smartphones for the past few days. The tweeter also provides other interesting details about the smartphone such as it has an 1800mAh battery. This may come as a disappointment to HTC fans as it pales in comparison with the one used in Samsung Galaxy S III, which uses a 2100mAh battery.
