LG Optimus G quad-core gets caught in the wild . . .

The guys over at AndroidMX managed to get their hands on what they’re claiming is a prototype of LG’s upcoming Quad-core flagship phone, the Optimus G.
Labelled as the LG-E973, it features a 4.7 inch HD IPS display listed at a slightly strange 1280 x 768 pixels resolution, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 13 megapixel camera at the back.
It runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream sandwich, with LG’s Optimus UI on top, and there’s a row of capacitive keys for back, home, and menu like most Android phones, which is a bummer since we were hoping most Android OEMs would move towards on-screen keys. Oh well.
They might announce this one at IFA next week, and we’ll be right there to let you know.
